HARDEE HAT EAGLE INSIGNIA

$95.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 450-153

This stamped brass eagle was meant for wear on the side of the 1858 dress hat or Hardee hat. Its purpose was to help hold the turned up brim.

The item is in good condition with a blackened field behind the stars above the eagle’s head. This is not usual but looks to have been done in the period.

Reverse has three of the four attachment wires.  [ad]
