Sheet brass, clipped corner shoulder belt plate measures 4” tall x 2 7/8” wide. On the front are mounted three separate brass pieces. Top to bottom, they are: a ribbon that reads “ERIN”; an Irish harp; a ribbon that reads “GO BRAGH”.  The back features the four original soldered wires to attach the plate to the shoulder belt and shows the three pairs of brass loops bent over from the ornaments attached to the front.  Bright finish and in excellent condition. See specimen #756 in “American Military Plates” by O’Donnell and Campbell. [jet]
