This insignia consist of an elongated horn with a single twist and tassels. It is made of stamped brass with two wire prongs on the reverse for attaching to a cap or hat.  Item meas. approx. 2.50 inches in length.

Item is in very nice almost unused condition with only slight surface dirt.

These insignia first appeared in 1850 and saw use throughout the Civil War.    [ad]
