This item is a stamped brass eagle with spread wings. It measures 3” wing tip to wing tip. A shield, olive branch, and arrows are featured. These were popular insignias used by militias in the 1850s. Two iron, wire loops remain soldered to the back and were the means of attachment. One small dent across the shield, otherwise in very good condition. [jet]
