This is two of the three parts of the Marine insignia found on the Civil War shako. This is the large oak wreath with the US shield that is placed in the center of the wreath. The wreath meas. approx. 5.75 inches wide. The shield meas. approx. 3.50 x 3.50. All that is needed is the Infantry hunting horn insignia with the “M” at center. Hooks on the back have been replaced.
