Leather sling made for use on the M1861 and M1863 Rifle Muskets. One end has a sewn leather belt loop while the opposite end has a brass hook for adjusting size. The free moving leather slide is present. Approx. 42" long. All stitching is tight and unbroken. There are a couple of additional holes that were added post-production, possibly by a soldier. Leather is soft and pliable and in excellent condition. This would be the perfect specimen to add on an original musket
