This buff leather belt is still in first class shape. The interior surface was left the original light color with the outside being darkened to comply with the 1851 regulations. All the leather surfaces are in mint condition with little or no wear.
Plate is an oval Model 1839 “US” plate with arrow hooks and tongue on the back. The lead fill is smooth and 100% present. The face of the plate still has the original Arsenal finish. The face of the plate is in near perfect condition. Also attached to the belt is a brass keeper. This keeper also shows little use or wear.
