Clipped-cornered buckle is made of brass, measuring 2.25 x 3.5”, with mounted brass lettering “WI”, measuring 1” in height and 2” in width, with reverse keepers. Buckle exhibits bright patina with light tarnish. Reverse numerals “22”. Brown bridal leather belt measures 35” in length, 1.75” in width. Leather slip knot at one end, brass keeper at the other, with adjustable brass accoutrement hanger in between. Belt leather is strong & supple, with moderate scuffing. Else VG. An attractive militia period piece. Invites further research.
