Fantastic like new condition buff leather belt with makers stamp on the inside.

Belt was originally made of white buff leather but was dyed to conform to the 1851 regulations. The exterior leather surfaces are very clean and in excellent condition. The leather is strong and supple with no weak spots. The shoulder support strap is present and is original to the belt and is in matching excellent condition. Both the sword drops are present and match condition perfectly. All hardware is present as well.

The interior surface of the leather has moderate surface dirt from age and storage. There is also an ink stamped maker’s mark in a circle but it is unreadable.

The belt plate is the Pattern 1851 NCO plate with applied silver wreath. Both the plate and the keeper have a matching bench mark of 530.

This item is a fine example of a cavalry sword-belt.
