U.S. Model 1872 cast brass enlistedman’s rectangular belt buckle measures approximately 3 3/8” x 2 1/8”.  Narrow hook on back. Integral belt loop cast onto end of buckle.  Face features “US” within an oval.  Even bronze patina overall.  Complete bridle leather belt with keeper riveted to one end and brass adjuster hook on the other.  Majority of black finish has worn away on leather.
