The leather on this belt is very pliable. It was originally a dark brown but over time it has begun to fade to a light brown. Belt meas. approx. 1.75 inches wide with a parallel border of dark thread all the way around.
Plate is a two piece tongue and wreath with a spread-winged eagle perched on a horizontal anchor on the tongue and a wreath with a very pronounced laurel leaf decoration. The keepers on both sides of the plate are also decorated with laurel leaves.
Both sword drops are present and full length with snap hooks present. The shorter of the two belts is missing a brass stud and is held in place by a modern split ring. Otherwise the drops are in excellent shape and complete.
Leather shows only slight wear along the edges. [ad]
