This bridle leather belt has a reinforced brass ring on the back. The ring acts as an anchor for the shoulder support strap and the longer of the two sword drops. The leather of the belt has become “mushy” or soft with a good bit of surface finish loss throughout. Despite this it is holding together well. Rectangular spread-winged eagle plate is of the NCO variety with the applied silver wreath extending above the eagle’s wings. The plate and the keeper have matching bench numbers. The brass of the plate has a light patina and some minor discolorations. The shoulder strap is complete as is the shorter of the two drops. The second or longer drop is complete as well but is missing the brass stud keeper and is torn through in the area where the stud should be. Brass sword hook is also present.
