The leather of the box is in good condition. It is mostly clean and supple with only light signs of wear. Outer flap is smooth and clean with an arch of stitching and a single rivet holding the latch tab in place. Also in this area of the flap is a faint maker’s mark for J. DAVY-NEWARK, N. J. Inner flap is in good condition but missing one ear. Interior has cut wood block for 20 rounds and an implement pocket. Bottom of the box has both roller buckles and the brass finial. Reverse has both belt loops but one is torn at the rivet.
