The leather on this box is in good condition despite some light surface crazing. The embossed “US” is visible and the bottom of the latch-tab is marked “ROCK ISLAND.” The reverse of the box has both belt loops. The interior has ten woven cloth pockets on each side for holding ammunition. One side of the box still holds ten 45-70 rounds which are in good clean condition. Both the interior and exterior of the box have light surface dirt from age and storage but nothing major. Box opens and closes as it should.
