This cap box is in excellent condition throughout. All the leather has a very nice finish with hardly any signs of use. There is some light wear on the latch tab and some minor rubbing to one side of the outer flap but there is no crazing or flaking of any kind to the leather.
The inner flap is also in excellent condition and has both ears intact. Stamped down low on the flap is “ST. LOUIS.” The interior lacks the fleece and nipple pick but it does hold approx. ten original percussion caps.
The body of the box is excellent as well. There is very little wear if any. Both belt loops are present on the back and are in good condition.
This is one of the nicest cap boxes we have seen in a while.
