This percussion cap box is in fair to good condition overall. The outer flap has lost most of its surface finish and what remains has severe crazing but no flaking. The leather underneath has a smooth surface. The latch tab surface is similar to the flap surface. Tab is solid and not torn.

The inner flap is complete with both ears but there is severe crazing but no flaking.

The interior of the box has both the fleece and pick. The body of the box is excellent and the finial is present at bottom.

The reverse is also good and has two complete belt loops.
