This .69 cartridge box is in good complete condition but the leather has become stiff and dry from age. The outer flap is crackled but has no flaking. The latch tab is split but complete. It is attached to the underside of the flap by a single line of stitching and no rivet. The inner flap matches the outer in condition and is complete with both ears. The interior has both tins which exhibit some light rust. The implement pocket is present and in good condition. The bottom edge of the box has a round brass finial and both roller buckles. Reverse has both belt loops and sling loops. The leather exterior body of the box matches the flap in dryness and surface dirt. Outer flap was never cut for a plate.
