This cap box is in very good condition overall. Leather has some slight crazing but is strong and supple. Latch tab is intact with no tears. Brass finial is present. There is a nickeled brass plate attached to outer flap.

The inner flap is complete and has both ears intact. Stamped down low on the flap is “J. DAVY & CO, NEWARK, N.J.” The interior lacks the fleece and nipple pick.

The body of the box is very good as well. Stitching is tight. Both belt loops are present on the back and are in good condition.  [sm]
