MAKER MARKED U.S. PERCUSSION CAP POUCH

$80.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 30-1995

This is a very displayable leather US percussion cap pouch. The leather throughout the box is somewhat stiff but flexible in the right places allowing the flaps to open. Light wear from rubbing but no crazing or flaking. The outer flap is complete and without tears and features initials. One initial appears to be an “M” while the other could possibly be an unfinished “A”. The interior flap has both ears and a maker’s mark that reads “J. E. CONDICT / NEW YORK.” The body of the box is in nice condition to match the rest but there is no fleece or pick. Bottom has rounded brass finial. Reverse has both belt loops which unfortunately have torn free at the bottom line of stitching. Both belt loops feature surface cracking. Overall this is a very attractive cap box with a smooth, clean finish.  [jet]
