This is a nice leather US percussion cap pouch. The leather throughout the box is flexible and allows the flaps to open. Light wear from rubbing and moderate cracking to surface finish. The outer flap is complete and without tears, is boldly stamped “US”, and has integral closing tab. Tab has moderate loss of finish but is unbroken. The interior flap has only one “ear” and a clear maker’s mark that reads “S. S. WILKINSON / MAKER / KEENE, N.H.” The body of the box is in nice condition with full fleece but no pick. Bottom has pointy brass finial. Reverse has only one belt loop. Other loop is broken off and is currently stored inside of pouch. Belt loops were stitched only. There is a modern rivet in place where the missing loop was once reattached. Stitching throughout is tight and unbroken. This is a nice cap pouch with maker’s stamps. [jet]
