This is a complete percussion cap pouch. The outer flap has some surface cracking but is soft and pliable. This pattern has the separate closing tab sewn in place. The tab is thin and weak but unbroken. The interior flap is supple and has both inner “ears” remaining in place. The body of the box is complete and in excellent condition. The original fleece and nipple pick remain…as well as many percussion caps. Bottom has brass finial. Both belt loops remain in place on back. Both loops are stretched from being worn on a belt. All stitching is intact.
An original Civil War cap pouch with wool, pick, and caps! [jet]
