This is a very good leather percussion cap pouch. The leather throughout the box is pliable allowing the flaps to open. Light rubs here and there, otherwise very nice condition leather overall. The outer flap is complete and without tears and has integral closing tab. Tab is unbroken. The interior flap has both ears and a smooth, uncracked surface with maker’s mark in oval that reads “SPROULLS, MEEKER & CO. / NEW-YORK”. The body of the box is in very nice condition. There is no fleece but nipple pick remains in place. Bottom has pointy brass finial. Reverse has both belt loops which are complete and untorn. Belt loops are stitched and riveted. Stitching throughout is tight and unbroken except for one ¼” area on one of the inner “ears”. This is a very attractive cap pouch with maker’s stamps. [jet]
