Leather box to hold cartridges features a brass, “NG” on the flap. Leather is strong and supple with light crazing in areas. Sewn latch tab is intact and fastens over brass finial. All stitching is tight. Body of box measures approx. 4 ½” x 6 ¼” x 1 ½” deep, flap measures 4 ½” x 7 ¼”.  No maker’s mark or stampings.

Reverse has a single loop at the top that is riveted in the center and two brass buttons meant for attaching the sling straps.  [sm]
