CONFEDERATE PERCUSSION CAP POUCH

$1,295.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: M25583

This is an excellent example of a Confederate-made percussion cap pouch. In wonderful condition, this pouch has all the typical characteristics one looks for in a CS piece. The back, outer/front flap, and latch tab are a single piece of leather. The finial is made of lead. The single belt loop is 2” wide. The inner flap has very small side “ears” sewn in place.  All leather is supple and relatively soft. All stitching is complete and tight. No lamb’s wool; do not know if this piece ever had it.

This is a terrific example of a Confederate-made cap pouch and definitely “whistles Dixie”. Would be hard to find better.   [jet]
