The leather is still somewhat supple. The outer flap has slits where an oval brass “US” box plate was once attached. Edges of the outer flap show light wear while the surface shows light crazing. Latch tab is complete and attached to the flap by a single line of stitching. There is no rivet.

The inner flap is in good condition with light crazing. One of the ears has come loose but is present with the box. Both tins are present. The implement pocket shows some light wear but is complete.

One of the two roller buckles is present on the bottom of the box as is the round brass finial.

The reverse of the box has both sling and belt loops

Leather surfaces are very dirty with scattered minor surface finish loss.  [ad]
