The leather on this box is in good condition. The outer flap has a light inspectors stamp and “US” at center. There are signs of a makers mark on the bottom edge of the flap but it is not readable. The latch tap is in nice condition and is solid.

The interior of the box has several lines of crazing over its surface and Styrofoam was inserted to help hold the proper shape and support the leather.

The bottom of the box has a brass pear-shaped finial.

The reverse of the box has both belt loops in very nice condition.  [ad]
