Good condition box made by S. H. Young of Newark, N.J.
Outer flap is near perfect with light surface finish loss around the latch hole. Latch tab is integral part of the flap and is solid. Sub-Inspectors mark at center of the flap is very strong.
Interior flap is also in good condition with both ears but does show moderate surface crazing. Maker’s stamp is affected by the crazing but is readable and is “S. H. YOUNG, NEWARK.” The body of the box is excellent with the brass finial at bottom.
Interior has fleece and pick. Reverse has two belt loops both of which show light wear and both are still solid. [ad]
