EXCELLENT CIVIL WAR PISTOL CARTRIDGE BOX

$145.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 172-4572

Original pistol cartridge box with clean leather and tight seams. Outer flap shows minor cracking to the finish but it is still in very fine shape. There are three stampings on the flap: a rectangular inspector’s cartouche (T.J. Shepard) in the center of the flap, a script “US” under that, and the maker’s name and “Newark, NJ” under the latch tab rivet. Latch tab is complete and held in place with single row of stitching arched over a rivet. The interior of the box is very good. The back has both belt loops.  Belt loops are stitched and riveted. Brass finial is present on bottom.  [jet]
