Leather is in good condition. The surfaces are good and the leather is supple. Latch tab is held by single line stitching only and no rivet. Nice “US” cartridge box plate is still attached to outer flap. One corner of the outer flap has a very tiny punched, round hole. This is about a 1/16th of an inch in size. Inner flap has been cut out. Original tins are present. Implement pocket shows some wear but is solid. Roller buckles are present on bottom and have some light surface rust. Both sling and belt loops are present on back. This box shows definite signs of being used. The cut out inner flap, indentations under the roller buckles and some light wear to the sling loops all show that this box saw some use in the field.
