Leather cartridge box for carrying pistol cartridges. Outer flap has some light discoloration and surface creasing at top. At center is a faint inspector’s mark in a rectangle below which is a stamped cursive “US.” Latch tab is riveted with an arc of stitching over the rivet. Tab is worn but solid. Box is maker marked at bottom center of flap “J. DAVIES.” Interior is in good condition. Both belt loops are present on reverse. They exhibit some light surface wear. Brass finial is present at bottom.
