Elaborately tooled on flap, this holster was made for a Colt type pistol. The tooling shows a main motif of a Rose design centered on the flap surrounded by semi-crescent designs boarding the edge of the flap as well.
The overall condition: Flap and holster body are missing the flap tab and body keeper straps. Surface finish shows crazing and some finish losses; seam stitching has some very minor separations .The leather body is still in supple condition and waist belt loop is present.
Possibly of Confederate origin or made for the Western market.
