This holster is constructed from five pieces of leather.

The first piece is the main portion that forms the body of the holster. This meas. approx. 13.25 inches long down the front and is sewn up the back. This rear seam is still tightly closed all along its length.

The second piece is the flap which is sewn directly across the top back of the body. This flap has an integral tab. This tab slides into the third piece of the holster, a horizontal strip of leather meas. approx. 1.25 inches wide and sewn on both ends.

The fourth piece is the belt loop on the back. This is a rectangular piece of leather that meas. approx. 3.25 inches long x 1.25 inches wide. The fifth and last piece is a small circular piece of leather that closes off the base of the body.

Overall the leather is in good condition. It is still pliable but does have a hint of stiffness. There is light wear throughout the piece but it gets heavier near the bottom of the body where there are numerous creases and some surface finish loss. About an inch or so of thread has rotted on one end of the flap seam. The leather still retains the outline of the revolver that was once housed in it.

This is a crudely made holster that has seen use and stood the test of time fairly well.
