CIVIL WAR HOLSTER FOR COLT NAVY MODEL 1851

$850.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 543-23

This manufactured leather holster is in exceptional condition. It is made of one piece of leather which was folded and stitched. Leather is supple with light crazing in areas. All stitching is tight. Wide belt loop on reverse measures approx. 2” x 3 ¼ and is held in place with six brass rivets. This piece was well used, as the imprint of the revolver is present on reverse. Plug is missing, which is typical for the age and use of this accoutrement. Flap is in good condition with no tears and fits over brass finial. Black dye has worn off exposing the original brown color. This piece is a remarkable find as it is in better condition than most of its type.    [SM]
