This early war holster is much more sought after because of its high quality and similarity to the Luger holster.
Holster body is made of stiff black leather with white thread stitching. An inspection of all the seams show that they are tight.
An extra magazine is stored in the exterior pocket of the holster. Magazine has 100% blue and a strong spring. One side just above the base is lightly stamped “P-38” over “U.”
Attached to the body of the holster at front is a black metal yoke which passes through a corresponding slit in a black metal escutcheon on the flap. A leather strap sewn to the upper flap passes through the yoke and holds the holster flap closed.
Reverse of the holster has two belt loops in very good condition and show only light wear along the top edge. Between the loops is the maker’s mark of “eue/43” showing that the item was made by Rudolf Fischer of Lengefeld and that it was produced in 1943. This same area bears a military inspection stamp of an eagle with swastika over “WaA300.” Off to one side of the belt loops is stamped a large “P-38.” [ad]
