Hand forged, four wick spout grease lamp. The pan of the body was filled with rendered down fat grease and four saturated wicks of cord were inserted at the four cornered spouts. These were the inexpensive lighting devices of the day, mostly used in homes such as frontier cabins and out building, even as mine lighting. A well used item, with overall surface rust, without holes to the pan.
