Gored skirt made from deep olive green silk/wool/alpaca taffeta. The skirt opens at the left side front and is styled with wide flat pleats in the front and a combination of box and directional pleats in the back. The skirt is attached to a brown glazed cotton waistband; the waist has been altered to add circumference sometime after the original construction.  The skirt is fully lined in brown glazed cotton. There is a 5" deep hem facing of green glazed cotton finished with dark green wool hem braid.  The lower edge of the skirt is accented with a 13" flounce. The flounce is directionally pleated and the lower edge is accented with a 2 ½ " deep band of dark green brocade. A row of stay stitching 3" above the bottom of the flounce holds each pleat in place.  Length 38"; circumference 94".
