Stoneware stein with pewter lid. Top of pewter lid has design in center ring with swords, flags, a shield, and a knight’s helmet. Also, engraved on the top of lid is, “1868, JACHAN KURG”.  The pewter hinge which attaches the lid to the crock has a lion at the top. The patina of the pewter has some light surface dirt. The stoneware is in excellent shape with no cracks.

This is a very unique and collectible piece.
