Royal blue silk velvet cape falls to the hip with a pointed front and rounded back. It is trimmed with sea blue knotted silk fringe around the lower edge. The cape is lined with medium blue lightweight silk that is hand quilted to wool wadding; the quilting is done in a pattern of large and small squares turned on point.  The neckline of the cape is accented with a deep wide self-fabric collar that falls to a point at the waist in the back. The collar is lined with the same quilted medium blue silk, and edged with the same silk fringe.
