Darted bodice constructed with a faux 3-piece back; the center back section is just ⅜" wide at the waistline.  The front closure has 10 buttonholes; the buttons have been removed. A 1⅛" deep waistband finishes the lower edge of the bodice.  There is a hanger loop at the center back of the waistband.

The coat sleeves are finished with a piped facing at the wrist. A dagged trimming made from silk velvet with piped edges is tacked to the upper sleeve and shoulder as a jockey.  A velvet band trims the lower edge of the sleeves, with a dagged and piped design extending upwards 6" on either side of the sleeve seam.

A matching belt is trimmed with a row of ⅛" wide velvet ribbon set back from each edge. A simple self-fabric rosette with a 4-loops velvet ribbon bow serves as a closure.  The belt is stiffened with coarse canvas.
