English Delftware tin-glazed pottery jar features the Latin medical name, “U DESIC RUB” in a cartouche label flanked by cherubs, flowers and shell. This was for an ointment to heal wounds. Jar has small cracks and chips at the foot rim and top rim, which are typical and acceptable with collectors because of use and age.
Measures 7” high x 4” at the base. [sm]
