English Delftware tin-glazed pottery jar features the Latin medical name, “MITHRID:DAM“, in a cartouche label flanked by peacocks and an angel. This medicine was an antidote for poison. Jar displays scattered chips, which are typical and acceptable with collectors because of use and age.
Measures 6 ½” high x 3 ½” at the base. [sm]
