This insignia features a silver embroidered wreath with old English letters “Q.M.D.” in the center. The background is made with fine silver and gold threads which give a mostly gold appearance. A few very minor “pulls” to the bullion thread on the right edge of the wreath. Overall threads and embroidery is tight and strong. There is no backing on this patch and the intricate stitched construction is visible. Measures approximately 1 ½” tall x 2 ½” wide.  A nice insignia in excellent, unissued condition.  [jet]
