This Colonial drawing set with original shagreen covered carrying case is in excellent condition. The set is complete with eight pieces. The various dividers are brass and iron and there is a brass protractor. Shagreen, which was used here for the case, has a granular surface and was used during the Colonial period for book bindings, pocketbooks, and small cases. The case and all pieces are decoratively mounted and framed. [jet]
