Measures 10 ¾” at widest point. This decagonal plate features embossed leaves and figs with parallel lines around the perimeter. Carries the J. Wedgewood Ironstone China mark, as well the English registration diamond mark with the date of November 14, 1856.
The overall condition of the plate is very good. It is clean with no broken areas; there is an area near the edge with a series of shallow scratches, the longest measuring approx. 1/8”. There are also some shallow scratches, perhaps from silverware use, in the center of the plate which are barely noticeable. There are also 1 or 2 flea bites, as well as scattered pinprick indents in the center portion. The white is bright; the glaze is glossy with very fine consistent crazing throughout.
