IRONSTONE CUP IN A RARE FIG PATTERN – PROBABLY BY DAVENPORT OR WEDGEWOOD

$45.00

Quantity Available: 1

Item Code: 643-19A

Dates to the 1850’s. Measures 3” tall, 3 ½” in diameter at rim, and 2” in diameter at base. No handle.  This cup features embossed leaves and figs with parallel lines around the perimeter.  No markings, but was likely produced by one of two English firms – Davenport or Wedgewood.

The overall condition is very good. There is some yellow staining to the sides and bottom of the cup.  There are scattered pinpoint spots on the exterior.  Some minor wear to bottom.  The white is bright; the glaze is fairly glossy with very fine consistent crazing throughout.
