This artifact is a small, tin drinking cup of Civil War manufacture commonly used by soldiers and civilians alike. Strong and rugged, this tin cup measures 1¾” high by 3” in diameter and has a flat smooth bottom, rolled rim and looped, tapered metal handle. All seams are soldered and appear tight. Cup has a medium gray color. No holes or perforations visible on the cup but the interior surface does show areas of dark scattered rust overall. This regulation tin cup makes a nice addition to any personal collection or soldier display.
