Magnificent matching set of a Victorian woven hair brooch and earrings. This set could have been used for mourning jewelry. The base of the brooch is a gold plate which has two loops of woven hair attached on each side. In the center of the brooch is an open gold heart which contains woven hair.  Attached to the heart are three woven hair bulb tassels. All tassels have gold tips and hooks. The pin and hook are present on the back of the brooch.  There are no markings. Brooch measures 2" by 1- ¼ " including tassels.

The earrings each have an open gold heart with woven hair in the center. There is a gold leaf design at the top of the heart with a gold hook. Attached to each heart are three woven hair bulb tassels with gold tips and hooks. Earrings measure approx. 1-3/4” long.

All three pieces are in great condition. The two lower woven hair loops on the brooch are slightly flattened and there is an indentation in the woven hair heart on one earring.

A unique, very collectable and wearable set. It is rare to find such wonderful matching pieces such as this.
