Bone ring features a flattened top which is outlined in red with the initials, “E.S.”. Front reads, “U.S.” and back, “1863”. Both sides show a red design with heart. Carvings such as this were commonly done by soldiers in camp to offset boredom.

Ring measures just under an inch in circumference. No chips or cracks in the bone.  [sl]
