Oval brooch with a beaded border with flowers at top, bottom and sides with a “T” bar pin on the reverse. Item meas. approx. 1.25 x 1.75 inches.

The front of the brooch has a tintype of a Union soldier with tinted cheeks wearing a light colored jacket with a single button on the side of the collar and a dark military vest. Image has good clarity and contrast.

Reverse of the brooch, under the pin, is a lock of dark brown hair.

Both the image and the hair are held in place by a glass covering that is also in good condition.  [AD]
