Wood framed mirror measures 10 ½” x 7 ½”. Wood is stained a dark brown color and has light scratches and scuffs all over. There are small cracks in the wood at the edges near the glass. Reverse of frame has a brass ring mounted for hanging. Mirror has spots on the glass, mostly around edges. On the reverse is a thin wood removable insert that fits inside of wood frame. Inside of this is the newspaper which was likely placed there to cushion and protect the glass. This is a very nice 18th century piece. [sm]
